South Middle Road Feeder Ducts Project
$70 Million Joint Venture
Client: Hydro One Networks Inc.
Sterling Ridge Infrastructure Inc. and EPTCON Ltd. executed the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) for the South Middle Feeder Ducts Project to support growing power demand in the Leamington area.
The scope involved constructing a concrete-encased underground duct system to route 24 electrical feeders south from the South Middle Transformer Station to Mersea Road 11.
In total, the project delivered approximately 52 km of duct bank utilizing over 1.5 million feet of conduit, reinforced rebar, and more than 20,000 m³ of concrete. Work also included backfill, splice vault installation, cable pulling, terminations, splicing, and testing/commissioning.
Lakeshore Switching Station

Client: Eptcon Ltd.
Delivered the comprehensive civil and earthworks package for the Lakeshore Switching Station, constructed on a 45-acre greenfield site in Lakeshore, Ontario. Site preparation scope included clearing, grubbing, erosion & sediment control, grading, perimeter berm, over 14 kilometers of site drainage, access roads, and fencing. Responsibilities also featured the construction of over 1,200 foundations, two building foundations, and the structural building envelopes consisting of precast walls, double-T roofing, masonry, and raised flooring.
WDBA – Transmission Line Relocation

Client: Valard LP
Relocated 230kV and 115kV Hydro One overhead transmission lines underground to facilitate the construction of the Gordie Howe International Bridge Canadian Point of Entry. Scope featured 23 100-foot-deep caisson foundations founded on bedrock, shallow termination foundations, engineered sheet piling, 36-inch HDPE directional drilling, open-cut and grouted duct banks, the excavation and disposal of over 30,000 cubic meters of soil, and the implementation of a strict environmental management plan.
NextStar Battery Plant

Executed shallow foundations and associated civil site work for the state-of-the-art LG/Stellantis NextStar Battery Plant in Windsor, Ontario. Contract scope encompassed foundational and civil packages for both the $17 Million Cell Building and the $6.5 Million Modular Building, alongside supporting site structures.
